HR Business Partner
We are excited to introduce a new role to support the continued growth of Tranzit Group and our five divisions: Coachlines, InterCity and Tourism (CIT), Tranzurban, Cross Country Rentals, Workshops and Fleet, and Group Shared Services.
This role provides end‑to‑end HR ownership for our Coachlines, InterCity and Tourism (CIT), and Workshops and Fleet divisions, delivering commercially grounded, high‑impact HR partnering. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will lead HR delivery for your divisions, working closely with a dedicated HR Coordinator to ensure consistent, high‑quality HR delivery.

The role:
Provide dedicated HR partnering to your assigned divisions, delivering trusted, pragmatic advice across all generalist HR matters.
End-to-end accountability for HR delivery across the full employment lifecycle.
Identify, assess, and actively manage people-related risks within your divisions, ensuring timely, well‑judged decisions aligned to organisational risk appetite and legal obligations.
Lead and manage ER matters including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and mediation, ensuring all processes are timely, fair and well documented.
Support industrial relations activities, including collective bargaining and union engagement, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and organisational policies.
Partner with leaders on change initiatives, restructures and workforce planning.
Coach and develop people leaders to build confidence, capability, and consistency in people management.
Analyse people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Lead and develop your HR Coordinator, building their capability and supporting effective HR delivery.
We are looking for:
Strong commercial and risk acumen, with the ability to balance legal, operational, and organisational considerations to support decision-making.
Significant experience operating as a senior HR generalist or HRBP within a complex, multi‑site or multi‑divisional environment.
Confidence navigating complex ER/IR issues with sound judgement and a calm, professional approach.
A practical, solutions focused approach where you can influence and challenge constructively while keeping relationships strong.
High resilience and the ability to manage competing priorities with strong judgement and autonomy.
Able to travel as required nationwide to support your divisions.
