Operations Assistant

Masterton, New Zealand

Tranzit is an award-winning transport and tourism provider operating throughout New Zealand, and we are seeking an Operations Assistant to support our busy team based in Masterton.

Our Operations team plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of our services across the Wairarapa and our driving team. As an Operations Assistant, you will work collaboratively within our operations team, while providing on-road driving support when required.

What you will do:

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Operations Manager and wider team
  • Weekly banking and daily processing of driver's timesheet data and back costing
  • Support of rostering of our urban services, tours and charters
  • Ordering and processing of uniforms, stationary and other depot supplies
  • Provide excellence service to our customers and assist with bookings and inquiries
  • After hours support through a rotating on call roster
  • Provide driving support in the form of a daily school run and other driving duties as and when required

Who we are looking for:

  • Excellent communicator and enjoys talking to people!
  • Able to multi-task with strong administrative and organisation abilities
  • Computer savvy, and comfortable using new systems and software
  • The ability to problem-solve and prioritise tasks,
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Class 2 Drivers licence and a P endorsement or the ability to obtain these (with our support)
