Diesel Mechanic

Darfield, New Zealand

We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our Southern workshop team based in Darfield and keep our regional fleet running at its best.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanic looking for a structured workweek, hands-on work, and the backing of an experienced support network.

What will your workday look like?

  • Your main focus will be on routine servicing, minor repairs, and ensuring our fleet are ready for daily operations
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults across a mixed fleet of urban buses.
  • Work with outwork providers to manage maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Carrying out small fault repairs and general servicing.

Who are we looking for:

  • A skilled and qualified Diesel Mechanic who can work independently while being part of a wider support network.
  • Strong fault diagnosis and repair skills.
  • A team player who can coordinate with external service providers and internal support teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage third-party service providers.
  • Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
