Driver Trainer

As a key provider of public transport services, our Driver Trainer programme plays a vital role in delivering consistent, high-quality training that meets both internal standards and contractual requirements.
Our training team leads with respect and adaptability, using training methods that support clear communication, strong understanding, and successful outcomes for our trainees. As a Driver Trainer, you'll also provide constructive feedback that helps create a positive, supportive learning environment where trainees can grow.
What will your day look like?
- Pre-employment driver assessments and new driver training as well as remedial/refresher trainings for existing team members.
- Work closely with our company GM to ensure the training objectives align to the business objectives.
- Work with the wider Training team to provide feedback, and continuously improve our programmes and our driver's manual.
- Maintain accurate data on driver training in all our systems.
- Support recommend improvements for accidents/health & safety issues.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A Class 4 licence and P endorsement essential with a minimum of 2 years' experience in those licence classes.
- Proven driver training experience including road code and technical driving skills knowledge.
- Ability to lead and coach others and deliver an engaging approach to training.
- An open communicator who is passionate about developing others and who leads by example.
- Computer savvy with the ability to maintain accurate records in our systems.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and communicate effectively.
